showDisclosure Policy
UEGW 2010 Disclosure Policy
The UEGW 2010 is committed to ensuring scientific rigour and objectivity in all of its educational activities. These include all aspects of the educational programme at UEGW 2010, Barcelona including those that are directly and jointly sponsored activities. All members of the Faculty, abstract presenters and those individuals responsible for developing the programmes are required to disclose to those organising and attending meetings any relevant financial or other relationship that may lead to a potential commercial bias.
The UEGW 2010 reserves the right to review the information disclosed for potential conflicts of interest. Conflict of interest may exist through a financial relationship or when the individual has the opportunity to influence the content of a presentation. Conflict of interest does not preclude an individual from making a presentation providing the conflict is disclosed. Faculty and abstract presenters are required to disclose financial or other relationships that could influence the content of a presentation verbally during introductory comment before the presentation. UEGW 2010 expects all speakers to disclose any advisory or consultancy roles in the Biomedical Industry during the past 2 years on a PowerPoint slide to be shown immediately at the beginning of the presentation. Poster presentations must include full disclosure information. If there is any doubt about the relevance of a potential conflict of interest the UEGW 2010 requires Faculty and abstract presenters to err on the safe side and to disclose.

Guidelines for Poster Presentations
Poster Rounds will be held during the lunch period at the congress. Posters will be displayed from Monday until Wednesday and will be changed daily. Selected experts will visit groups of posters, when the presenter will be expected to give a 1 – 2 minute summary of the major findings described in the poster. The experts will lead the discussion with other members attending the poster session. It is the responsibility of the presenter to ensure that at least one of the authors is present during the lunch session to take part in the poster discussion.
Each day a poster prize for the ‘Best Poster’ in each of the four major categories will be awarded. For further details please click here.
Presenters are asked to put up their poster before 9.00 am on the day of the presentation and remove it after the end of the viewing period. Posters which have not been removed by 18.00 hrs will be disposed of.
