General Terms and Conditions
The United European Gastroenterology Federation (hereafter named UEGF) has commissioned CPO HANSER SERVICE with the organisation and execution of the UEGW. The registration for the conference and the confirmation thereof forms a contract between the conference attendee and the UEGF regarding attendance at the conference. This contract is based on the following General Terms and Conditions.
Registration fees for the UEGW 2010
Attendance at the congress is subject to a registration fee. The Lunch Sessions will take place within the framework of the UEGW 2010 Congress. A separate registration fee will be charged for those sessions in addition to the conference fee.
Registration for the conference and booking of services are binding for the attendee. The fees must be paid in advance on the dates specified. Any bank charges will be charged to the payer.
Cancellation of Congress Attendance
In the event that the attendance at the congress and the Lunch Sessions is cancelled by 15 May 2010, the registration fee minus a processing fee of 25% will be refunded. The attendee will have the option to prove that the expenditure for processing is less than 25% of the registration fee. No refund will be made if the registration is cancelled at a later date. Please notify the conference office of your cancellation in writing.
Programme Changes
The UEGF reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the programme at short notice. There will be no pro rata refund of registration fees for cancelled papers or changes to the programme. In the event that Lunch Sessions fail to take place due to cancellations by speakers, the registration fees for these Lunch Sessions will be refunded. This will not apply – not even on a pro-rata basis – if the Lunch Sessions are taken over by speakers other than those initially specified.
Loss of Name Badge
A fee of 50 EUR must be paid to acquire a new name badge in the event that the name badge, which entitles the holder to attend the congress, is lost or has been forgotten. If the attendee is later able to present the newly acquired and the original name badge, the fee of 50 EUR most recently paid will be refunded. However, a refund is only possible during the conference.
Liability of the UEGF
The UEGF is the organiser of the scientific conference. It is liable within the scope of the laws of Austria. Its liability - regardless of the legal cause - is limited to cases of gross negligence and wilful misconduct. The UEGF is, however, also liable for slight negligence if and to the extent that cardinal obligations under the contract are breached.
General Terms and Conditions Only for Registration of Contributions
The following terms and conditions are only applicable to the registration of abstracts. Presenters are not exempted from the registration fee.
Abstracts
Attendees may submit abstracts to be eligible for poster presentations or oral presentations. The first author must undertake to present the submitted contribution at the conference. The submission of an abstract simultaneously results in binding registration of the speaker to attend the conference. The registration fee must be paid by 16 August 2010. Cancellation of conference attendance is possible at no additional cost if the abstract is rejected by the scientific committee. In this case, the full registration fee will be refunded. If the author withdraws a contribution after its acceptance by the scientific committee, registration for the conference will be maintained and there will be no refund of the registration fees.
Declaration Regarding Industrial Relationships
All speakers and first authors are required to disclose to those organising and attending meetings any relevant financial or other relationship that may lead to a potential commercial bias. All presenters are requested to notify their audience accordingly at the beginning of their presentation.
