City of Barcelona

- Sagrada Familia
Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city that incorporates in its urban street pattern Roman remains, medieval districts and the most beautiful examples of Modernism and 20th century avant-garde art.
Of Roman origin, Barcelona‘s long history and economic dynamism have provided it with an impressive cultural heritage, shown in the conservation of its rich historic and artistic heritage and in the encouragement of the latest artistic trends.
Its long cultural agenda will lead the visitor through museums, exhibitions, outdoor sculptures and an extensive calendar of music, theatre, and dance.
Climate
The climate in Catalonia is mainly Mediterranean around the coastal areas, whilst inland the climate becomes more continental in essence. The weather in October and November is still pleasant but starting to get a little cooler (21 °C down to 15 °C, 69 to 59 F). There won’t be sunshine every day, so be prepared for days when it could be overcast with a little rain.
